The All Round Entertainer...

Opell Ross is one of Australia's most unique and dynamic all round talents. Over the years he has proven himself to be a bold and courageous performer that has emerged as one of our brightest stars.

Opell is most famous for his extraordinary work as the controversial and well loved character ANGEL in the hit Broadway musical RENT, which earned him a Green Room Awards Nomination for Best Male Actor in a Musical.

One journalist from the Herald Sun states:

"Ross steals the show .... He has a divine voice."

His other experience includes his work in WOGARAMA (the sequel to "Wogs Out Of Work"), Penny Arcade's SEX AND CENSORSHIP SHOW (a Melbourne Comedy Festival and Adelaide Festival Piece brought out from New York), SISTERELLA and his guest roles on both NEIGHBOURS and ABC TV's RAW FM.

He also appeared alongside other well known and respected Australian theatre and TV stars in the 1999 charity benefit play ELEGIES in Melbourne for World Aids.

His incredible diverse talent has also lent itself to producing and choreographing shows for leading fashion labels such as Calvin Klein, Brian Rochford Swimwear, Levis,  Bonds, Speedo and Armani to mention a few.  Creating and choreographing for various music videos and live shows, dancing with artists such as Deni Hines, and performing live in his own solo shows.  He has worked in all major clubs and has performed for many charity events such as the  AIDS Council and The Spastic Society. Opell has performed live for Melbourne's Midsumma Carnival, sharing the stage with artists such as Vanessa Amorosi.  Opell opened the show for Style Aid '99, which also featured Australian Pop Diva, Marcia Hines.

You will also see Opell at many corporate events and solo performances in Australia, Asia and New Zealand. He also appeared in Singapore as part of the Singapore Arts Festival 2002 as well as writing children's pantomime shows for Warner Bros.  Opell currently appears in a TV commercial for Singapore Airlines'  latest Ad campaign for Silk Air.

Opell also performed at Harbour Fest 2003 in Hong Kong, sharing the stage with world class acts such as Prince, Craig David, Rolling Stones, and even the Wiggles !! (Just not at the same time !!)

"Our Place" was Opell's first self-penned single then followed by "This Time".   Opell mesmerises audiences all over the world so don't miss any opportunity to see him perform.  You may catch him around Asia or New Zealand or who knows where!
